Jigawa to adopt OGP plan for implementation of 12 points agenda

The Jigawa state government has promised to adopt Open Government Partnership (OGP) plan for ensuring the smooth implementation of 12 points agenda set by governor Malam Umar Namadi.
The promise was made by the state commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning Alhaji Babangida Umar Gantsa while delivering his speech at the technical support session for strengthening OGP structure in Jigawa state, held at Three star hotel in Dutse.
The commissioner who said the present administration of Malam Umar Namadi is committed towards ensuring transparency and accountability promised to go through the OGP of action and ensure it implementation for the betterment of Jigawa citizens.
“No doubt we realized the importance of OGP, therefore as part of effort to run an open government to all, and to ensure transparency, accountability and inclusiveness in all twelve points agenda of governor Malam Umar Namadi OGP plan will be adopted and implement in Jigawa”, he said.
While making his remarks on behalf of OGP National Coordinator, Mr Uchenna Arisukwu said, the occasion was organised by National level of OGP with support from Foreign Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) through PERL-ECP.
He maintained that, the objective of the meeting is to review Jigawa state OGP Action Plan as well as to harmonize Civil Society Organization under the open Alliance Platform for the smooth running of OGP plan in Jigawa.
