The former Kano state Governor, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has revealed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reaffirmed his position as National chairman of All Progressive Congress Party.
Ganduje who spoke while we receiving APC stakeholders from Kano, alleged that the Kano state government is trying to remove him as APC national chairman before they decamp to the party.
“I met with the President, and he told me that my position as APC Chairman, which the Kano State Government was trying to remove me from, will remain unchanged.
” He reaffirmed my position as APC National Chairman”, Ganduje said in a viral video .
The development comes two days after the Legal Adviser of the ward, Halliru Gwanzo, suspended Ganduje from the party.
Gwanjo, who addressed journalists in Kano, said the APC ward leadership took the decision, given the bribery allegations hanging on Ganduje’s neck.
He cited the bribery charges filed against Ganduje by the Kano State government.
The suspension was however, revoked by the Kano state leadership of the party, which also slammed a six-month suspension on Gwarzo and some indicted party leaders at the ward level.
However, the Chairman of Ganduje Ward of the All Progressives Congress(APC),Alhaji Ahmed Mohammed Koko, has disowned some members of the party who “purportedly” suspended the Acting National Chairman of the party,Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
Koko, who announced the decision on behalf of the 27 Executives of the ward at a press conference on Monday in Kano, said those who suspended Dr Ganduje were actually non-members of the party.
