Justice & Fairness: Declare Gov Sule winner, Hon. Sharubutu urges Appeal Court

A community leader and Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State, Hon. Basiru Sharubutu Abubakar, has called on the Appeal Court to declare Governor Sule the winner of the 2023 governorship election in the state.
Abubakar made the call in a statement issued on Tuesday. He urged the court to ensure justice and fairness by upholding the victory of Governor Sule, who was declared the winner of the election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Abubakar, who is also an APC chieftain, explained that the people of Nasarawa State wisely voted for Governor Sule in the March 2023 election.
He said that Nasarawa State is the home of the APC and that the people voted massively for Sule to ensure progress and development.
Abubakar also praised Governor Sule for his respect for elders and his willingness to learn from them.
He appealed to the people of Nasarawa State to put the interest of the state above all other interests and to shun violence or disunity.
“We must work as a team for peace, unity, and harmony in the state,” Abubakar said.
He also called on the people of the state to give all the needed support and cooperation to Governor Sule’s administration to enable them enjoy more dividends of democracy.
