Kaduna Governor appoints Surveyor as SA on Rural Development

The Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, has appointed Surveyor Shehu Aminu Abdullahi as his new Special Adviser on Rural Development.

Abdullahi was born in Zango Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State 59 years ago. He is one of the few Chartered Quantity Surveyors and Procurement Specialists in Nigeria with over 30 years of work experience in providing financial advice in both building and civil engineering projects.

He is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors United Kingdom (UK), a Fellow of the Nigeria Institute of Quantity Surveyors, and an Associate Member of the Association of Cost Engineers UK.

Abdullahi is also a community leader and grassroots mobilizer. He was elected secretary under the defunct National Republican Convention (NRC) Tudun Wada West in the early 1990s, and he was an aspirant for Kaduna South Local Government Chairmanship in 2002. A staunch member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), he has served as the National Chairman of the Volunteer Professionals Support Group since 2014.

Abdullahi has published many articles and journals, both local and international. Some of his notable works include “Observation and Recommendations of Procurement Acts 2007” (National Assembly, 5th November 2012) and “Advised former President Muhammadu Buhari to constitute a procurement council in accordance with the procurement acts” (Daily Trust, 27th July 2015).
