Kaduna Pilgrims Urged to Prepare for 2026 Hajj
The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has advised all intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj to begin making financial preparations and ensuring their travel documents are in order.
A statement signed by the agency ‘s spokesperson, Yunusa Mohammed Abdullahi revealed, this advice follows a crucial announcement made during the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria’s (NAHCON) Post-Hajj Strategic Meeting with State Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards.
At the end of the meeting, NAHCON announced that intending pilgrims from Nigeria are asked to prepare a tentative deposit of N8.5 million to be paid as soon as official registration for2026 Hajj begins.
The commission clarified that this provisional fare was collectively agreed upon, pending final negotiations on service contracts.
Additionally, the agency is strongly advising anyone without a valid e-passport to apply for one promptly at the Nigeria Immigration Service. This is a critical requirement for processing all travel arrangements.
Nigeria has retained its allocation of 95,000 slots from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the 2026 Hajj, and Kaduna State’s allocation is expected to remain consistent with previous years.
The Agency urged prospective pilgrims to await the official announcement regarding the commencement of the registration exercise in Kaduna State.
