Kano APC Elders, Integrity Group Dismiss Calls for Ganduje’s Sack

By Muhammad Kabir, Kano

The influential Kano All Progressive Congress (APC) Elders and Integrity Bloc have issued a collective stance, urging President Tinubu and discerning Nigerians to disregard recent calls by certain youths for the removal of the National Chairman of the Party, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

In a statement signed by Abubakar Indabawa and Musaddiq Wada Waziri, the Kano Integrity Bloc asserted that these youths, purportedly advocating for the ousting of Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, are sponsored opposition members masquerading as APC affiliates.

The elders labeled them as sponsored bigots with a misguided agenda and clarified that they lack any recognition within the APC family.

The statement emphasized the unidentifiable nature of these so-called APC youth, highlighting their affiliation as mere political groups funded to tarnish the achievements of APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.

The leaders commended Ganduje’s successful reconciliation efforts among aggrieved party members in states like Ondo and Rivers since his appointment nearly seven months ago.

The Kano Integrity Bloc leaders contended that the frustration expressed by these youths stems from Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s accomplishments as APC National Chairman, particularly his revitalization efforts in Kano.

The leaders noted that the youths’ envy is fueled by Ganduje’s distinction as the Northern Nigeria Governor who secured the highest number of votes for President Tinubu during the 2023 presidential elections.

Referring to President Tinubu’s remarks during Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s 74th birthday celebration, the Kano Integrity Bloc reinforced Ganduje’s standing as a consummate politician, a loyal, and dependable ally who reached the pinnacle of his career in the civil service.

The Kano Integrity Bloc however called on the sponsored youth to channel their energies toward building suitable careers for their future, cautioning against unfounded attempts to remove APC National Chairman Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, whose career achievements span over five decades.
