Kano Assembly Receives Commissioner Nominees from Governor Yusuf

The Kano State House of Assembly has received two commissioner nominees from the Executive Governor, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf. The correspondence was presented during plenary by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Jibril Ismail Falgore.

In a statement signed by the Speaker’s Chief Press Secretary, Kamaluddeen Sani Shawai, the Governor, exercising his constitutional powers, sought the consideration and approval of the House for the appointment of:

Albdulkarim Rabiu Maude, SAN

Dr. Aliyu Isa Aliyu, former Director-General of the Kano Bureau of Statistics.

Governor Yusuf stated that the nominations were based on merit, integrity, and a proven record of competence in public service.

Presiding over the session, the Speaker announced that the nominees will appear before the Assembly on Tuesday, 30th August, 2025, for screening and possible confirmation.
