Kano Dep. Governor Represents State at ACF’s 25th Anniversary

Kano State Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, on Saturday led a delegation to represent the state government at the 25th anniversary celebration of the Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF), held at Murtala Square, Kaduna.
In his remarks, the Deputy Governor congratulated the ACF on behalf of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and the National Leader of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Engr. Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, as well as the good people of Kano State for organizing the event and commended its contributions to the unity and development of Northern Nigeria.
He also extended felicitations to the people of Kano and the entire region for the milestone achievement.
During the event, the Deputy Governor was toured round innovative products developed by the trainees by Engr. Mustapha Habu Ringim, CEO of Engausa Global Tech Hub, who highlighted the organization’s achievements in training over 8,000 young people and 4,600 of whom are from Kano State.
The trainees showcased innovative products such as power banks, smart switches, and solar-powered devices with smart home control and voice command capabilities.
Ringim appealed for the Kano State Government’s support to expand the initiative to the grassroots across the 44 local government areas for sustainability.
Similarly, a tech fair competition was organized where an indigene of Kano State came 1st position in the contest.
In response, Deputy Governor Gwarzo assured that he had already discussed possible collaboration with Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, noting that the program aligns with the state’s vision of promoting indigenous technology and the use of Hausa language for technical terms.

The event drew prominent personalities from across Nigeria, including former Vice President Namadi Sambo, the Sultan of Sokoto, Governor of Jigawa State, former President Goodluck Jonathan, former Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai (rtd), industrialist Abdulsamad Rabiu, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, and the Ooni of Ife, among others.
The event also witnessed notable donations to the ACF Endowment Fund. Business magnates Aliko Dangote and Abdulsamad Isyaku Rabiu each donated N2.5 billion, while Lt. Gen. T.Y. Danjuma (rtd) and Alhaji Dahiru Mangal contributed N1 billion each.
Other donors included A.A. Rano (N100 million), the Nigerian Senate (N100 million), former Zamfara Governor Abdulaziz Yari (N1 billion), Turakin Gumel (N500 million), Senator Barau Jibrin (N50 million), the House of Representatives (N50 million), Rotimi Amaechi (N30 million), the ACF Board of Trustees (N100 million), and Nasiru Dano (N50 million), among others.
After the event, Deputy Governor Gwarzo met with party loyalists in Kaduna to discuss issues of mutual interest and strengthen political ties.
