The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has reaffirmed his dedication to advancing education in the state by commissioning an Islamic Primary School in his hometown, Gwarzo Local Government Area.

The newly inaugurated institution, named Hajiya Talle Muhyiddeen Islamiyyah Primary School in honor of the Deputy Governor’s late mother, was officially opened during a ceremony attended by community members, students, staff, and school management.

In his address, Comrade Gwarzo emphasized the school’s mission to provide a strong foundation in Islamic studies, including Qur’anic education, moral values, and essential life skills to prepare students for future challenges.

He pledged to collaborate with the school’s administration to ensure its growth and sustainability.

The Deputy Governor expressed optimism that the school would produce exceptional students who would excel in academics and participate in State, National, and International Qur’anic competitions, thereby showcasing the institution’s quality and impact.

Highlighting the state government’s focus on education, Comrade Gwarzo noted that the administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has allocated 31% of the 2025 budget to the education sector.

“This substantial investment reflects a balanced commitment to both Islamic and Western educational systems in Kano State” Gwarzo said.

Delivering Governor Yusuf’s message, he lauded the school’s stakeholders and management for their efforts in promoting educational development.

Comrade Gwarzo also urged local government chairmen and councilors to strengthen ties with their communities, engage with residents to identify pressing needs, and implement sustainable solutions to drive grassroots development across all sectors.
