Kano Deputy Governor Graces Silver Jubilee of Fune Emir, Attends Wedding Ceremony of Yobe Deputy Governor’s Children

The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo, on Saturday, joined eminent dignitaries and traditional rulers to celebrate the silver jubilee marking the 25th anniversary of His Royal Highness, the Emir of Fune, Alhaji Dr. Saleh Idriss Ibn Usman, on the throne of Fune Emirate.
The historic event, which took place in Fune, Damagum, Yobe State, attracted a distinguished gathering of leaders, traditional titleholders, and well-wishers to honor the Emir’s remarkable service, dedication, and contributions to peace and development over the past quarter of a century.
During the ceremony, His Excellency the Deputy Governor also witnessed the Wedding Fatiha of the son and daughters of the Wazirin Fune, His Excellency the Deputy Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Idi Barde Gubana.
In a demonstration of friendship and solidarity, Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo served as Waliyyi (guardian) of the groom, Kabir Idi Barde, offering prayers and best wishes for a blessed and harmonious marriage.
Speaking after the event, the Deputy Governor congratulated the Emir of Fune on his 25 year reign, commending his unwavering commitment to fostering unity, preserving cultural heritage, and promoting socioeconomic growth within the Emirate and beyond.

He also extended heartfelt congratulations to the newlyweds, praying that their union be filled with love, understanding, and prosperity.
Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo reaffirmed the commitment of the Kano State Government to strengthening ties with traditional institutions and collaborating across states for the peace, stability, and development of Nigeria.
