Kano Deputy Governor Pays 2-Day Special Working Visit to Plateau State

The Deputy Governor of Kano State, Comr. Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has undertaken a two-day special working visit to Jos, Plateau State.
Comr. Gwarzo, who also serves as Chairman of the Kwankwasiyya Movement Committee in Plateau, was in the state between Friday and Saturday, during which he carried out several official engagements, including courtesy visits, meetings with party stakeholders, condolence visits, and participation in a students’ graduation ceremony.
On Friday, the Deputy Governor paid a condolence visit to Sheikh Sani Yahaya Jingir, the National Chairman of the Council of Ulama, over the death of his brother, late Sa’idu Hassan Jingir.

He prayed that Almighty Allah forgive the shortcomings of the deceased, admit him into Aljannatul Firdaus, and grant the family strength to bear the loss. “May Allah’s mercy and comfort be with the family now and always,” he added.
Comr. Gwarzo also paid a courtesy visit to the Plateau State Deputy Governor, Josephine Piyo, where he outlined the purpose of his official visit. While appreciating the warm reception from the Plateau State Government, he emphasized the long-standing ties between Kano and Plateau, spanning trade, education, culture, and more.

“Personally, I have an attachment to Plateau as I did my NYSC here 37 years ago. Everyone always looks forward to coming to the state to experience its warmth and hospitality,” he remarked.
In her response, Plateau State Deputy Governor Josephine Piyo welcomed the visit, describing Plateau as one of the best states in the country because of its serene environment. She extended warm greetings to the government and people of Kano State through Comr. Gwarzo and called for sustained unity between both states.
Later the same day, Comr. Gwarzo held a strategic meeting with leaders of the NNPP and the Kwankwasiyya Movement in Plateau, led by Hon. Abdurrahmani Mai Kadama, where they discussed strategies to advance the movement in the state.

He also met with various groups, including the Adaidita Sahu, businessmen, scholars, and butchers, focusing on issues of political development and peace.
On Saturday, the Deputy Governor commissioned the new Kwankwasiyya office in Jos North Local Government Area, where he was warmly received by NNPP leaders for his visit and contributions to the movement.

He also attended the 10th Graduation Ceremony of Sahalan College of Health Sciences in Jos North LGA, where he served as both Chairman and Guest of Honour.
The Deputy Governor congratulated the Proprietor of the College for establishing the institution, describing it as a rare initiative worthy of commendation.
He extended his felicitations to the graduating students, their parents, and relatives, urging the graduates to be worthy ambassadors of the institution. “You are professionals now. This is just the beginning. Keep your heads up and continue to grow and progress,” he advised.
The engagements also featured award presentations to the Deputy Governor, alongside additional condolence and sympathy visits across the state.
