Kano gets new fire trucks to enhance public safety
Governor of Kano State, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, reiterated his commitment to prioritizing emergency preparedness for safety of lives and properties.
He revealed this during the unveiling of two fire-fighting vehicles allocated to Kano State by the Federal Fire Service.
This was contained in a statement issued by the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, on Thursday morning.
According to the statement, the governor expressed confidence in making judicious utilization of two new digital fire-fighting trucks.
He accepted the donation with gratitude from the Kano State Controller of Federal Fire Service, emphasizing the significant benefits it would bring to Kano residents by improving their safety and security.
Governor Yusuf highlighted that the new firetrucks would significantly enhance the state’s ability to respond to fire emergencies swiftly and efficiently.
Engineer A. Kazeem, the Kano State Controller of Federal Fire Service, underscored the importance of the new trucks in protecting lives and property.
He revealed that Kano was one of only 20 states chosen to receive the firetrucks, which boast features like a 600-liter water capacity and 50-liter foam compound for improved fire suppression.
Engineer Kazeem said the deployment of 200 additional skilled firefighters to Kano to further assist the state government in ensuring public safety.
