Kano Government Flags Off 2025 Hajj Airlift, Reaffirms Commitment to Pilgrims’ Welfare

The Kano State Government has officially flagged off the airlift of the first batch of pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The ceremony took place on Wednesday at the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport.
Representing the Executive Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, Deputy Governor Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gwarzo reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to ensuring a smooth and spiritually enriching Hajj experience for all pilgrims from the state.
He noted that the state government has made comprehensive arrangements to safeguard the welfare of its pilgrims, including provisions for accommodation, feeding, and general support throughout their stay in the Holy Land.

Comrade Gwarzo urged the pilgrims to be disciplined, patient, and respectful, encouraging them to serve as worthy ambassadors of both Kano State and Nigeria. He also offered prayers for their safe journey and a spiritually rewarding pilgrimage, seeking Almighty Allah’s acceptance of their worship.
The flag-off event was attended by the 16th Emir of Kano, His Highness Muhammadu Sanusi II, members of the State Executive Council, local government chairpersons, and other dignitaries.
