Kano Government Prioritizes Persons with Disabilities Commission

The Commissioner for Women, Children, and Persons with Disabilities, Hajiya Amina Abdullahi HOD, has pledged to champion the Kano State Persons with Disabilities Commission Bill to promote inclusion through strategic political engagement.

Hajiya Amina disclosed this to newsmen during a dinner event held in her honor by the Aminu Magashi Garba Foundation in Kano. The event was organized to celebrate her appointment as Commissioner.

She highlighted the commitment of Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, to the welfare of persons with disabilities, a promise he made with passion and dedication during his campaign.

“Following the Governor’s footsteps, I am dedicated to promoting sustainable environments for women, children, and persons with disabilities in Kano. With over two decades of experience, I am committed to creating an enabling environment for these groups,” she stated.

Hajiya Amina also expressed appreciation to Dr. Aminu Magashi Garba for his relentless efforts in advancing the progress of Kano and its citizens, describing his contributions as inspiring and tireless.
