Kano Governor Donates 5 Million Naira To SMEs

Kano State Governor, Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf, has donated 5 million Naira to the Northern Progressive Initiative for the upcoming annual event of Small Scale and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in the state.

Prime Time News reports that the Northern Progressive Initiative is chaired by Kano-based chef, Aisha Shehu Buhari.

The group was created to sensitize and empower small businesses through mentorship and training.

Speaking with journalists on Wednesday, Aisha expressed her gratitude to the Kano State governor for supporting the initiative, which she described as the best way to improve SMEs in the state.

She explained that the group plans to organize an annual event that will host small businesses from across the 44 local governments in the state.

She also commended the Kano State Commissioner for Spacial Duties, Hajiya Aminu HOD, for facilitating the donation from the Kano State government.
