Kano Governor swears in new Head of Service
Kano state Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf has sworn in Alhaji Abdullahi Musa as the 13th Head of Service of the state.
This is contained on Friday in a statement signed by Aliyu Yusuf, Director Public Enlightenment Government House, Kano.
According to the statement, the governor during the sweering-in ceremony at the Government House charged the new HOS to discharge his duties diligently and with fear of God.
He said that the appointment was based on merit, considering Musa’s track record of achievements in various positions he held as a seasoned Civil servant and administrator.
The new HOS, Alhaji Abdullahi Musa, speaking to the newsmen shortly after the swearing-in, expressed gratitude to Almighty Allah for making it possible for the governor to appoint him in that position.
” As the 13th Head of Service of Kano state, I am not going to make promises for now but what I intend to do is to go back to the basic,” he said.
He described the appointment as an honor and pledged to do all possible to elevate the state civil service to greater heights.
He called for the support and cooperation of the civil servants in the state, promising to emulate the governor’s good attitudes towards ensuring goodies to the state civil service and the state by extension.
Alhaji Abdullahi Musa has served in various capacities in the state service, including Permanent Secretary in the State Council Affairs Directorate, Permanent Secretary at the Servicom Directorate, and Permanent Secretary Government House, Kano.
