Kano Govt Hails Dr. Aminu M. Bashir on Emergence as NIQS President
The Kano State Government has congratulated QS Dr. Aminu M. Bashir on his investiture as the 28th President of the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS), describing his emergence as historic and a source of pride for the state.
In a statement signed by the Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs, Comrade Ibrahim Abdullahi Waiya, the government said Dr. Bashir is the first Kano indigene to lead the prestigious national professional body.
The statement noted that his election reflects his professionalism, dedication, and significant contributions to the growth of the quantity surveying profession in Nigeria.
Dr. Bashir, a highly respected figure with decades of industry experience, was inaugurated over the weekend at a ceremony in Abuja attended by prominent professionals across engineering and allied fields, as well as representatives of government institutions and corporate bodies.
The Kano State Government expressed confidence that Dr. Bashir will provide innovative and purposeful leadership to the NIQS, steering it toward greater achievements.
It further urged him to continue exemplifying the values of integrity, excellence, and patriotism as he takes on the national role.
The government reaffirmed its commitment to supporting citizens of the state in attaining the highest levels of professional excellence.
