Kano Govt partners with World Bank to revitalize technical schools
The Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has partnered with the World Bank to revitalize the state’s major Technical Schools.
This is contained in a statement signed by Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, Chief Press Secretary to the Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf on Monday.
During an inspection at Technical Bagauda, the governor reiterated their commitment to achieving the job creation agenda through Technical and Vocational Education (TVE).
Expressing concern over the dilapidated condition of the school visited, he affirmed his administration’s dedication to extensively renovating the school’s classrooms, workshops, water, and toilet facilities.
“In addition to renovation, we will as well ensure adequate security to protect the lives and properties of the people domiciled within the premises of the school,” he said.
The Governor lauded the World Bank Project tittled Innovation Development Effectiveness in Skills Acquisition (IDEAS), which allocated 240 million naira for general renovation, equipment procurement, and teacher training in the three major Technical Schools at Bagauda, Dambatta, and Ungoggo.
Each school is expected to receive 800 million naira through the IDEAS Project.
