Kano Govt Re-boards 15 Girls’ Secondary Schools Closed By Ganduje Administration

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State says his administration has re-boarded 15 girls’ secondary schools de-boarded by the immediate past administration in the state.
The governor expressed dismay over the de-boarding of the girls’ schools,a situation he said, resulted in halting the academic pursuit of many talented girls.
A statement issued to newsmen by the governor’s Spokesperson, Sanusi Bature Dawakin Tofa,on Monday,said Yusuf disclosed this when he paid an unscheduled inspection visit to Government Girls Secondary School, Albasu.
He instructed the Ministry of Education to as a matter of urgency, post English Language, Mathematics and Natural Sciences teachers to the Albasu girls’ school for its “pedagogical enhancement.”
The governor said rehabilitation work had already commenced for the re-boarded schools to resume academic activities in the next school calendar which commences next week.
He said the State Government would not relent in building and rehabilitation of more classrooms, furniture, teaching aides and all that it would take to create conducive atmosphere for teaching and learning in schools across the state.
He restated the commitment of his administration to implement in full force, the components of the declaration of state of emergency on education.
According to the statement, the governor also inspected the Albasu 5 kilometer road work that is 98% completed and expressed delight at the level of work done.
He urged the contractor to speed up and complete the remaining work, soonest.
