Kano Govt Urges Medical Practitioners to Renew Annual Licenses
The Executive Secretary Kano State Hospitals Management Board, Dr Mansur Mudi Nagoda have called on all medical practitioners to as a matter of urgency have their annual license renewed as the screening exercise would commence soon.
As part of the compulsory requirements for all cadres in practice, Dr Nagoda said the annual license is at the forefront, it must be up to date and obtained by each and every medical personnel in the system.
This is contained in a statement on Sunday by Samira Suleiman, Public Relation Officer, Kano state hospital Management board
The Executive Secretary further explained that the screening would be part of the unscheduled visits been carried out in the facilities adding that anyone found guilty would face sanctions according to the civil service rules.He added that no practitioner due for promotion would be promoted without presenting a valid license emphasing that it would help the system halt quarks from ruining the health care system in state.
Regarding the unscheduled visit, Dr Nagoda acknowledged the improvements in the performance and efficiency of service delivery after the 1st round of executive supervision. In addition to provision of drugs and consumables at drf and NHIS/KSCHMA ,measures put in place are perfectly working.
He then Commended the populace for the support as we forge ahead to serve them better. “Complaints against our staff or the system should go to servicom desk officers as phone numbers of all the officers are been distributed and would be pasted in all the facilities” he added.
