Kano is ready to accept investors – Deputy Governor

In a move to boost economic development and promote investment opportunities, Kano State Deputy Governor, Comr. Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, disclosed that the state government’s doors are wide open for investors

The Deputy Governor made the disclosure during the inauguration of ‘abz Guest Inn’ in his hometown, Gwarzo, on Saturday.

Comr. Aminu, who also serves as the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs in the state, expressed his optimism about the positive impact the newly commissioned hotel would have on Gwarzo’s economic landscape.

He emphasized the strategic location of Gwarzo as a key transit point connecting Kano to various Nigerian states, including the Republic of Niger.

Addressing concerns about the purpose of the hotel, the Deputy Governor urged citizens to dispel negative assumptions, emphasizing that the intention behind an action matters.

He drew a parallel with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, known for its holy significance, which also hosts hotels to accommodate visitors during Hajj and Umrah, contributing significantly to the country’s revenue.

Comr. Aminu also took a moment to commend the philanthropic legacy of the late Alhaji Babangida Zuru and his family, who have served the Gwarzo Local Government Area for over five decades.

In response, Alh. Mansur Babangida Zuru expressed gratitude to the Deputy Governor for gracing the ceremony and explained that the hotel’s primary objective is to provide welfare services to the local community and travelers passing through Gwarzo town.

The District Head of Gwarzo, Alh. Shehu Kabiru, also extended his appreciation for the warm gesture and assured the community of the judicious implementation of strict rules that align with the cultural and religious values of Islam.
