By Abdullahi Yusuf
Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Kano State, Hashimu Dungurawa, says Kano is very lucky to have Alhaji Abba Yusuf as the Governor of the State, describing him as “The Saviour of the State.”
Dungurawa made the remark on the occasion of Governor Yusuf’s birthday anniversary and congratulated him as he turned 61 years of age, during the week.
He also described the Governor as “a highly vibrant Leader” who had so far improved the lot of the state to the envy of other states.
He told newsmen in Kano on Saturday that at 61, the governor has “all the time and chances to clear all the rots” he inherited from the immediate past administration and relaunch the state on the path of growth and development.
“I can confidently tell you that at the end of the eventful tenure of Governor Abba Yusuf, Kano will become a Mega City that will favourably compete among its peers in the federation,” the chairman said.
That explained why prominent Nigerians who know Governor Yusuf’s worth were at the forefront of congratulating him immediately after he turned 61 years of age, he said further.
Dungurawa, therefore, appealed to the people of the state to continue to give their full support to the NNPP administration to enable it to sustain the provision of dividends of democracy to them.
