“We will start paying the first segment of the gratuity to beneficiaries of level 1-6 (Junior Staff) by the end of this month. Also, screening of beneficiaries is ongoing across all LGAs for effectiveness,” Governor Yusuf revealed.

Education remains a top priority for the NNPP-led administration. Governor Abba Kabir said his government has intervened in the payment of NECO examination fees for 3rd grade students, distributed uniforms and learning materials for primary school pupils, and restored full salaries for primary school teachers and feeding programs.

“We have sponsored 1001 best graduates on foreign scholarships as part of our commitment to produce globally competitive professionals from Kano State,” Abba revealed.

The governor also demonstrated his commitment to healthcare, stating that his government has reconstructed and rehabilitated, refurbished, and renovated some hospitals in the state, like Asiya Bayero Paediatric Hospital, and equipped it with the start-of-the-art equipment, paving the way for access to quality medical services for children.

“The emergency unit of Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital, Nasarawa Hospital, and Sir Sunusi Hospital are all in the process of being renovated,” Yusuf stated.

The governor, while congratulating the leadership of NNPP in the Northwest Zone of the country, appealed to them to go back to their respective states and come out with a proposal to push the party forward. He also assured the Northwest members that Kano NNPP will do its best not to disappoint the national body of the party.
