Kano Pillars Depart for 3rd Gusau/Ahlan Preseason Tournament in Jos

Kano Pillars FC, known as Sai Masu Gida, have left Kano with a squad of 40 players to compete in the 3rd Gusau/Ahlan Preseason Tournament in Jos, Plateau State.

This tournament is a key preparatory event for the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, featuring top teams from across Nigeria. Kano Pillars FC has been placed in Group C, where they will face Discovery Talent Academy from Kebbi State, Mighty Jets FC of Jos, and NPFL side Lobi Stars of Makurdi.

According to the tournament fixtures as issued to newsmen in a statement today by the Media and Communication Directorate of the club, Kano Pillars will begin their campaign on Thursday, August 22, against Discovery Talent Academy. They will then play Mighty Jets FC on Friday, August 23, and conclude their group stage with a match against Lobi Stars on Sunday, August 25.

Under the direction of newly appointed Technical Adviser, Coach Usman Abdallah, Kano Pillars will use this tournament to refine their strategies and assess player readiness for the 2024/25 NPFL season, which starts on August 31, 2024.

The Kano Pillars FC management, technical crew, and players are focused on making a strong showing in the tournament. It serves as a crucial opportunity for team building and momentum heading into the new season.
