Kano State governor, Abba Kabir appoints head of govt agencies

The appointment of additional heads of government agencies has been approved by the Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by Sanusi Bature, chief press secretary to the governor on Monday.

Among the appointments are Hon. Kabiru Getso Haruna, who will serve as the Executive Secretary of the Kano State Scholarship Board, Prof. Aliyu Isa Aliyu as the Director General of the Kano State Bureau of Statistics, Dr. Kabiru Ado Zakirai as the Executive Secretary at the Kano State Senior Secondary Schools Management Board (KSSMB) and
Kabiru Yusuf as the Director of the Kano State Institute of Fisheries, Bagauda.

Also, Hon. Alkasim Hussain Wudil is set to lead as the Coordinator of the Aliko Dangote Skills Acquisition Centre, Farouq Abdu Sumaila will serve as the Executive Secretary of the Kano State Guidance and Counseling Board, Alh. Umar Shehu Minjibir as the Chairman of the Kano State Civil Service Commission, Retired CP Kabiru Muhammad Gwarzo as the Director General of the Kano State Corporate Security Institute, Gabasawa.

Others include, Dr. Abdullahi Garba Ali as the Director of the Kano Informatics Institute, Kura, Hajia Shema’u Aliyu as the Director of the Kano State Institute of Hospitality Management, Dr. Musa Sa’ad Muhammad as the Director of the State Sports Institute, Karfi, Dr. Abubakar Shehu Minjibir’s appointment as the Director of the Kano State Institute of Development Journalism, Abdullahi S. Abdulkadir as the Director of the Kano State Institute of Farm Mechanisation, Kadawa, and Jazuli Muhammad Bichi as the Director of the Kano State Institute of Livestock, Gargai, and Dr. Maigari Indabawa as the Director of the Kano State Film Institute, Tiga.

The statement added that all the appointees are directed to assume their new responsibilities within the next 48 hours of this announcement.
