Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board Honored as Best Hajj Hygienic State for 2024
The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has been awarded the prestigious title of “Best Hajj Hygienic State” for its outstanding efforts in ensuring the health and safety of pilgrims during the 2024 Hajj operations.
This recognition highlights the Board’s commitment to maintaining high standards of hygiene and health management throughout the pilgrimage.
The announcement was made by Professor Abdurrahman Abba Sheshe, Chairman of the Health Committee and Chief Medical Director of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital, at an awards ceremony held today in the Board’s Conference Hall.
Professor Sheshe praised the Board’s dedication to implementing comprehensive hygiene protocols that contributed to the overall well-being of Kano State pilgrims.
Sulaiman Abdullahi Dederi, Public Relations Officer of the Board disclosed this development in a press statement issued to newsmen today.
During the event, Professor Sheshe presented awards to Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, and Alhaji Kabiru Muhammad Panda, Director of Operations.
Both leaders were recognized for their proactive efforts and leadership in managing health and hygiene standards during the Hajj.
In his speech, Alhaji Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, the Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, expressed his gratitude, stating, “We are deeply honored to receive this award. Our goal has always been to provide the highest level of care and safety to our pilgrims, ensuring that their pilgrimage is a safe, healthy, and fulfilling experience.”
The Chairman of the Board of Directors, Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Yusif Lawan, also affirmed the Board’s commitment to maintaining and enhancing its health and hygiene practices for future Hajj operations, setting an example for other states in Nigeria.
