Kano SUBEB Unveils Plan for Additional Teacher Recruitment

In a bid to enhance the quality of education in Basic Education Schools, the Kano State Government reveals a strategic plan to recruit more teachers.

The announcement was made by Malam Yusif Kabir, the Executive Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), during a meeting with the Executive members of Dala Local Government Central Parents Teachers Association (CPTA) at his office.

Expressing gratitude for the support received from various levels, Malam Yusif emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts between the government and community groups.

He highlighted that government alone cannot bear the entire responsibility for education and urged the group to intensify their efforts for optimal results.

Chairman of CPTA Dala Local Government, Alhaji Zakari Abdullahi Ata, conveyed concerns about teacher shortages in Basic Education Schools in the area.

He commended the Executive Chairman on his appointment, assuring total support and cooperation based on his merit and extensive experience in the sector.

Education Secretary of the area, Malam Hamid Baba Yalwa, informed the Executive Chairman about the shortage of teachers in Dala Local Government, with 435 Basic Education Schools, including 88 Upper Basic Schools.

He emphasized the need for immediate intervention to address the shortage and congratulated Malam Yusif Kabir on his appointment by Governor Abba Kabir Yusif.
