Kano Varsity to Admit 2000 students for 2024/2025

The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has allocated Sa’adatu Rimi University of Education, Kumbotso, Kano a slot of 2,000 students for admission into the university in 2024/ 2025 academic session.
The Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. Bunkure disclosed this while speaking to newsmen on Tuesday.
According to him the figure is higher than that of last year which stood at 1, 740 students admitted into the university.
“Our minimum cut off marks for admission into the university is 145 marks, and is not a guarantee that students with 145 marks will get automatic admission because the university will go for students who scored higher marks.”
“JAMB has set aside 140 marks as minimum score for admission into any university in the country. We are the only university in the whole of the country that decided on 145 marks as minimum score for admission.
Bunkure further explained that the university will go for students who scored higher marks especially in subjects areas where there is higher competition.
On projects, he said the university had awarded a contract worth N370 million for the construction of lecture halls and staff rooms as well as other structures.
He warned students of the university against cultism membership or belonging to any unregistered association as the university has zero tolerance for indiscipline and other immoral
