Katsina State Government Grants Land for “Renewed Hope City Project”

The Katsina State Government, led by Dr. Dikko Umar Radda, has officially given its approval for the allocation of 25Ha of land to the Federal Government. This land will be utilized for the construction of the highly anticipated Renewed Hope City Project within the state.

The Honorable Commissioner of Lands and Physical Planning, Dr. Faisal Kaita, conveyed this approval to the Honorable Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Arc. Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, during a meeting held at the Ministry’s Headquarters in Abuja.

Last year in October, the Federal Government revealed its ambitious plans to construct Renewed Hope Cities nationwide. Each state will have approximately 1000 housing units, while the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) will have around 4,000 units. This initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for Housing and Urban Development, with the goal of providing affordable housing to Nigerians.

Following the project’s announcement, the Ministry promptly sent out Land Allocation Requests to all states, requesting a minimum of 50Ha of land in close proximity to the state capital. This was to ensure the smooth implementation of the project.
