KBSG flags off 4-day free medical outreach programme
Kebbi State Government in collaboration with an NGO, Nasare Nasir Foundation, led by wife of the Governor, Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris has sponsored a Four-day free medical outreach programme targeting no fewer than 2,000 vulnerable patients across the State.
In a statement issued to newsmen by SA to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Yahaya Sark said, the four-day medical outreach aims to provide free medical services to people of the state, especially the vulnerable persons.
The all-important exercise according to Yahaya was launched on Saturday in Birnin Kebbi by Gov. Nasir Idris, who was represented by the Kebbi State Head of Service, Alhaji Sufyanu Garba Bena.
Bena announced that the medical outreach involving 22 Doctors, Nurses and other medical experts is being held at Kebbi Medical Center, Kalgo.
According to the Head of Service, the programme was part of the Governor’s unrelenting commitment to provide quality healthcare service to the people of the state especially vulnerable ones.
It will be recalled that the Head of Service on Friday received the medical experts under the leadership of Prof. Ibrahim Yanmis on behalf of Dr.Nasir Idris.
The team that will be in the state for four working days will provide medical diagnosis and treatment of different ailments bedevilling the teeming populace of the state especially cataracts and other common diseases.
In his remarks, Yanmis appreciated the governor for reposing tremendous confidence in them.
Yanmis pledged that the members of the team would leave no stone unturned in working diligently to make the exercise successful.
