Kebbi sets 5th February deadline for 2025 Hajj registration

The Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has announced that the deadline for the registration of intending pilgrims for the 2025 Hajj has been set for 5th February 2025.

This decision follows an adjustment to the 2025 Hajj calendar by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), which mandates that all state Pilgrims Welfare Boards and Agencies remit their collections by 1st February.

This announcement was made in a press statement signed by the Executive Chairman of the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Alhaji Faruk Aliyu Yaro, Jagaban Gwandu, and was made available to journalists on Tuesday, 14th January 2025.

According to the statement, the Kebbi Pilgrims Welfare Agency has already exhausted over 60% of its allocation for the 2025 Hajj since the registration process began in September 2024, leaving only 40% of the allocation available.

The agency emphasized that intending pilgrims should take advantage of the remaining time to make the necessary deposit for their Hajj booking.

“Intending pilgrims are encouraged to make their deposits before the new deadline to benefit from the Agency’s exceptional services in Hajj operations,” the statement read.

The statement further clarified that intending pilgrims will be required to make a minimum deposit of Eight Million, Four Hundred Thousand Naira (N8,400,000.00) through a bank draft payable to the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency.

“This deposit will secure their seat until the official Hajj fares are released by NAHCON.

“The registration will follow a first-come-first-served basis, adhering to the principle of fairness in service delivery. Alhaji Yaro also addressed previous registrants who were unable to participate in past Hajj exercises. He urged them to top up their deposits to meet the minimum required amount in order to reserve their seat for the 2025 pilgrimage.

“We are committed to enhancing services for our registered intending pilgrims and have introduced new strategies for the forthcoming Hajj operation to ensure a smooth and efficient process,” the statement added.

The agency’s leadership reiterated its readiness to intensify efforts and ensure that all registered pilgrims enjoy a seamless experience leading up to their Hajj journey.
