In a display of compassion, the Kano Patriotic Front (KPF), a non-profit organization, has donated essential daily consumables to the Spinal Cord Injuries Association of Nigeria (SCIAN), Kano State Chapter.
The donation, which took place at SCIAN’s Kano office, included items such as cotton wool, urine bags, diapers, and other vital materials.
Major General Ibrahim Sani (rtd), Chairman of KPF, explained that the gesture was informed by the organization’s engagement with SCIAN members and a desire to alleviate their plight.
“We are excited to have made a positive impact on the lives of these individuals”
“Our mission is to restore Kano’s socio-economic and cultural status as the commercial hub of Nigeria, and we are committed to supporting vulnerable groups like SCIAN” General Sani said.
Receiving the consumables on behalf of Kano SCIAN, Chairman Mal. Abdulrahman Uba Daushe expressed his gratitude to KPF and its members for their support.
“These materials are essential for our daily lives, and it’s challenging for most of our members to afford them,”
“KPF’s support has shown that they are an organization with compassion for people with disabilities, and we appreciate their efforts” he said.
Dahiru Ibrahim, an elderly member of SCIAN who has been living with spinal cord injury for over 45 years, also expressed his profound gratitude to KPF.
“Besides food, these daily consumables like diapers, cotton wool, and urine bags are what we need most. Thank you very much,” he said.
