KPF Pledges Support for Talented Youth, Sponsors Blind Glasses Inventor

The Kano Patriotic Front (KPF) has pledged to sponsor the education and development of Ilyasu Aminu Alkasim, a 17-year-old boy who invented ‘Blind Glasses’, a revolutionary device that assists the blind.

Major General Ibrahim Sani (rtd), Chairman of KPF, made this promise during a meeting with Khalifa Aminu at the association’s office in Kano yesterday,

Major General Sani stated that KPF is committed to supporting talented individuals like Khalifa Aminu, saying, “We will provide all necessary support to develop his skills and ensure that he achieves his full potential.”

He also announced a program called “Show Us What You Can Do,” which aims to identify and support creative individuals in Kano, stating, “We want to encourage innovation and entrepreneurship in the state.”

Khalifa Aminu’s invention, ‘Blind Glasses’, is a wearable device that helps the blind navigate their surroundings. The device alerts the wearer to obstacles, enabling them to move around independently.

The invention has been hailed as a breakthrough in assistive technology, and Khalifa Aminu has been praised for his ingenuity and creativity.

The Kano Patriotic Front, established in 2024, has over 350 members and aims to promote Kano as a major social, economic, cultural, and industrial center in the North and ECOWAS region.

The organization has 18 committees focused on various aspects of life, including education, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
