KSCHMA to sanctions underperforming health facilities in scheme
Kano State Contributory Healthcare Management Agency to start sanctioning non performing health facilities to ensure all programmes in the scheme are fully implemented for the benefit of all residents of Kano State.
The Executive Secretary of the Agency Dr. Rahila Aliyu Mukhtar made the statement during the Data validation exercise to evaluate the implementation of the Basic Healthcare Provision Fund programme in the health facilities.

According to him, the facilities visited by the Executive Secretary include Yalwan Danziyal, Rimin Gado and Butu-Butu PHCs all in Rimin Gado Local Government Area.
Dr. Rahila expressed dismay on the situations of some of the facilities especially poor record keeping, nonchalant attitude of the staff, poor environmental sanitation, among others.
She added that, every facility found wanting will be seriously dealt with especially by not paying the capitation money to the facility until they corrected the anomalies.
The Data validation exercise is to asses the level of implementation of the Basic Healthcare provision fund programme that provides free healthcare access to poor and vulnerable persons across the 44 Local Governments in the state.
She emphasised that, the government of Alhaji Abba Kabir yusuf will not tolerate negligence of duty from any staff that will be a hitch to the smooth implementation of the scheme in Kano state.
