Kumbotso Chairman Pays 50% Registration Fees for Indigent Students
The Executive Chairman of Kumbotso Local Government, Comrade Abdullahi Ghali Basaf, has provided financial support to indigenes of the council studying at North West University by covering 50 percent of their registration fees.
In a statement issued by the council’s Information Officer, Alawiyya Wada Isah, on Tuesday, Basaf explained that the initiative was designed to ease the financial burden on students and encourage them to pursue their academic goals without hindrance.
The Chairman noted that the gesture underscores his administration’s commitment to youth empowerment, human capital development, and the promotion of quality education as a foundation for a brighter future.
Benefiting students expressed deep appreciation, describing the support as timely in addressing their financial challenges. They commended Basaf’s consistent concern for their academic welfare and prayed for his continued success.
The students also pledged their support to the Chairman, reaffirming confidence in his leadership and dedication to the people of Kumbotso.
