Kwankwasiyya Group Faults Allegations Against Namadi, Urges Caution Over Fake News

The Kwankwasiyya Group has condemned fresh allegations against the Kano State Commissioner for Transport, Hon. Ibrahim Ali Namadi Dala, describing them as a continuation of a smear campaign orchestrated by political antagonists.

In a statement issued on Saturday, the group recalled that the same individuals who previously accused Namadi of having ties with one Danwawu have now shifted their claims, alleging that he received large sums of money to secure bail for the said individual.

The group also expressed dismay over what it described as biased media reporting, citing a previous report by the same newspaper which falsely claimed that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf had stopped taking calls from Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso—an allegation the governor later personally denied.

According to the group, the recent publication further quoted an anonymous source allegedly from the Department of State Services (DSS), accusing Namadi of collecting money for Danwawu’s bail. The Kwankwasiyya Group questioned the authenticity of this claim, pointing out that the DSS has no known spokesperson who would have made such a statement.

Reiterating its position, the group—under the slogan “Kwankwasiyya: Mutunci Yafi Kudi” (Dignity is greater than money)—warned the public to be wary of slanderous and unverified reports aimed at discrediting loyal members of the movement.
