Kwankwaso Felicitates Rep Bichi Over “Best Rep Of The Year” Award

A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State, Dr Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso, has congratulated the Chairman, House of Representatives Committee on Appropriation, Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi,on his conferment of the Award of Best Rep Member of the year 2024, describing the honour as “well-deserved.”
Bichi was recently awarded the best Rep member of the year 2024 by the FDN Project, organizers of the Heroes and Democratic Africa.
Kwankwaso,in a statement issued to newsmen in Kano on Tuesday,said the lawmaker deserved the Award in view of his legislative efforts that had impacted positively on the lives of his constituents and other Nigerians.
He said the laudable jobs done by the Rep Bichi when he was the Chairman House Committee on Works, still lingers in the minds of many Nigerians.
According to him,it was Bichi’s singular efforts and constant oversight visits to Kano -Maiduguri Road, Kano-Kaduna-Abuja Roads and many other similar roads projects that facilitated the near completion of the project s.
“The people of Jigawa State and indeed those of his home State,Kano, indigent and other Nigerians who plu the Kano-Maiduguri Road are excited at the completion of Shuwarin to Damaturu to Maiduguri potion of the road,while some parts of Kano to Wudil road have since been completed all through the efforts of the National Assembly Works Committee,” the APC chieftain said.
He also recalled the Northern Terminal Road
project initiated through a Bill sponsored by Abubakar Kabir Abubakar Bichi, which he said would cost Trillions of Naira.
“This is apart from his granting of scholarships to youths, women empowerment, provision of quick intervention on Health, Agriculture and other Domestic needs of the people of his Bichi Federal Constituency and the entire Kano State.
” The Award is a testament of your good legislation, hard work, generosity, and magnanimity in providing human, societal, and infrastructure development to your constituency and Kano State at large,”
he added.
