The Kwankwasiyya Movement has announced that its National Leader, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has concluded arrangements to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
In a press statement issued on Saturday and signed by spokesperson of the movement, Dr. Habibu Sale Mohammed, disclosed that Kwankwaso will officially register with the party on Monday, March 30, 2026, at his residence, Gidan Kwankwasiyya, located on Miller Road in Kano, by 12 noon.
The statement further directed all members of the Kwankwasiyya Movement across the country to commence registration with the ADC in their respective wards, local government areas, and states immediately after the leader’s formal defection.
Members were also urged to actively participate in party activities and contribute to the growth and development of the ADC at all levels.
According to the movement, the decision to align with the ADC was taken in the overall interest of the movement, Kano State, and Nigeria, describing it as a strategic step toward strengthening democratic values and promoting good governance.
The group emphasized the need to safeguard democracy and uphold the will of the people, reaffirming its commitment to a united and inclusive Nigeria.
