Mazoji Commends Supreme Court Judges and Acknowledges Tinubu’s Respect for Judicial Process

Hon. Zaharaddeen Babba Mazoji, an elder statesman of the PDP in Katsina state, reacting to the victory at the Supreme Court. Mazoji applauds the Supreme Court’s decision, emphasizing the importance of having respected judges and commending their role in fulfilling the hopes of Nigerians.

Mazoji expresses gratitude to the Supreme Court Judges for their well-done job, considering the affirmation as a validation of the trust and confidence the people have placed in the judiciary, a crucial arm of government.

He advises adherence to basic principles formulated to uphold the independence of the judiciary, urging governments to respect and observe this independence, as demonstrated by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Mazoji salutes Tinubu for refraining from interference in the concluded cases at the election tribunal and others, emphasizing the need to appreciate and recognize the judiciary’s pivotal role.

Highlighting the significance of accountability for judges, Mazoji emphasizes that judicial conduct reviews should be conducted without compromising the independence of judicial decision-making. He calls on Tribunal court judges and court of appeals judges to emulate the Supreme Court’s standards, enhancing the overall respect for the judiciary.

Babba Mazoji however, extends his appreciation to the judiciary, particularly the Supreme Court Judges, and acknowledges President Tinubu for his prudent approach in respecting the judicial process during the recent election tribunal cases.
