NANTA President Commends Raudah for Supporting New Travel Agencies

By Mustapha Salisu

The President of the National Association of Nigeria Travel Agencies (NANTA), Mr. Yinka Folami, has commended Raudah Travel & Tours for its continuous support to emerging travel agencies, helping them to attain professional stability and compliance within the sector.

Mr. Folami made the commendation during a courtesy visit to the Raudah Travel & Tours office on Thursday, where he praised the company’s efforts in mentoring and guiding new entrants in the travel industry.

According to him, many upcoming travel agencies face operational challenges that often lead to setbacks and even arrests due to lack of proper industry knowledge and adherence to regulations.

“The lapses of these new travel agencies are a setback to us. Since Raudah is already supporting them, and we as NANTA remain the umbrella body for the sector, Raudah should formally present these agencies to us for registration,” the NANTA President stated.

He explained that the formal registration of new agencies under NANTA will enable them to access the association’s resources, professional training, and collective support for the growth and prosperity of the travel and tourism industry.

Mr. Folami added that Raudah Travel & Tours has been performing a vital role by orienting and educating new agencies on the operational standards and ethics of the travel business, which aligns with NANTA’s core objectives.

“It is in this background that we are here to appreciate your efforts and to further let the new travel agencies know that they have an umbrella that will stand for them in all circumstances,” he said.

Responding, the Chairman of Raudah Travels & Tours, Alhaji Umar Abdulhadi Alfuti, expressed appreciation to NANTA for the recognition and pledged the company’s continued collaboration with the association.

He noted that Raudah remains committed to promoting professionalism and ethical standards in the travel and tourism sector, adding that the company will continue to mentor and guide new entrants to ensure a strong and reputable industry.

“We are humbled by this recognition from NANTA. Our goal has always been to build capacity and strengthen the travel industry by ensuring that new agencies operate in line with global best practices,” Alhaji Alfuti stated.
