NASSI, Jigawa LGSC boosts 108 LG employees with entrepreneurship skills

The Nigeria Association of Small Scale Industrialists (NASSI) in collaboration with the Jigawa state Local Government Service Commission (LGSC) organised skills acquisition training for local government employees.
Speaking during the training held on Thursday at Manpower Development Institute Dutse, the secretary of NASSI Jigawa state chapter comrade Danlami Haladu Shu’aibu said the training is aimed at boosting the social workers with skills acquisition and women empowerment through entrepreneurship.
Comrade Danlami maintained that, the effort is part of the present administration’s 12 points agenda of Malam Umar Namadi to create job opportunities for Youths to remain self reliance.
According to him, NASSI with support from local government service commission selected four participants from each of 27 local government community personnel to attend the training.
He said, the participants were equipped with skills on various business including poultry, fishing, trading among many other entrepreneurship for them to reduce depending solely on monthly salary.
Comrade Danlami then commended governor Malam Umar Namadi for his commitments to NASSI and urged the participants to use the skills acquired appreciately.
