Nationwide Protest: Zamfara NSCDC deploys 520 personnel to ensure peaceful demonstration

The State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Zamfara State Command in the quest to ensure orderliness through the planned nationwide hunger/hardship protest deployed over five hundred and twenty (520) personnel within the fourteen (14) Local Government Areas of the State.
This is contained in a statement by the CDPRO of the Zanfara NSCDC Command, ASC II Umar Mohammad, saying, the measure was aimed at safeguarding the lives and properties of the civil populace and also corroborated that the Critical National Assets and Infrastructures are secured against vandalism as promulgated by the NSCDC Core Mandates.
Furthermore, Commandant Sani Mustapha administered the need for a seamless operation to guarantee the planned nationwide protest is a peacefully demonstrated with neither lost of lives, properties nor destruction of critical assets within the confines of the State, urging the personnel to be steadfast and professional in discharging their assigned duties.
“You must prevent protesters from switching to unwanted and filthy actions capable of derailing from the main aims to law breaking, and do ensure that, lives and properties are well protected against any move intended for vandalism”, Commandant Mustapha further warned.
He also asserted that, the primary objective of the assignment is to establish peace and order, maintaining that, it is the responsibility of the NSCDC to make sure law and order is maintained through and after the intended protest.
