NEPC’s Financial Support Reaches over 100 MSMEs, Exporters

The Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) has moved to assist over 100 Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and exporters on how to access finances to boost their businesses.

This is even as the Council organised a two day capacity building workshop and stakeholders forum for MSMEs and Exporters financial intervention in Kano State.

Speaking at the event, the Northwest Regional coordinator, NEPC, Salami Moruff Akinshola said the effort is aimed at building the capacity of the exporters to leverage of many sources and financial services available for the industry.

He said, “Based on our previous program, from the feedback we discovered that the main problem with our exporters in this part of the country is mainly the centre of finance and getting facilities.

“So we now design a packet for them to be aware of all the facilities that they can enjoy be it development funds, commercial banks, CBN, Nexim, BOI all have facilities which our people are not aware of. So we feel that it is time to let them know that not only commercial banks can be of assistance to them.

“That is why we are organising this program so that they can be able to know that it is not only about knowing the market, what to produce but also access to finance. What they can leverage in order to boost their financial matters so that they can access their share in the global market.”
