Nigeria Police Academy,Wudil, Introduces Programmes Towards Self Reliance

The Nigeria Police Academy,Wudil,Kano State,is to introduce programmes aimed at generating revenue towards self reliance.
The Commandant of the Academy,AIG Sadiq Abubakar,disclosed this while addressing newsmen at the institution’s premises on Tuesday.
Part of the programmes,AIG Abubakar said, is the introduction of diploma, certificate and post-graduate courses to enable the institution generate revenue for self sufficiency.
He said the Academy would soon come up with its Entrepreneurship programme through which it would be producing uniforms for its staff and students.
He said the programme would also enable the school to establish its own Bakery and water factory so as to be producing bread and water for its academic community.
“We are introducing all these programmes because we want to be really self-sufficient,we have the land,we have the capacity and capability to do these things,” the Commandant further said.
He said the entrepreneurship programme would also enable the students of the college to acquire skills that would enable them to become self reliant during their working life and during retirement.
AIG Abubakar then implored public-spirited Nigerians to contribute their quota towards the growth and development of the Academy.
He said policing is not the responsibility of the government alone,but the business of all Nigerians that needed the contribution of all citizens to enable the exercise to succeed.
He assured that whatever contribution received by the academy would be used judiciously and within the confines of the law.
