Nigeria@65:Kano Housing Commissioner Felicitates Gov Abba Kabir Yusuf

Kano State Commissioner for Housing Development, Arc Yakubu Adamu, has congratulated Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf and the entire citizens of the state on the occasion of the nation’s 65th independence anniversary.

This is contained in his message to the people of the state to mark this year’s independence anniversary signed by the Ministry’s Director Public Enlightenment,Malam Adamu Abdullahi.

Arc Yakubu Adamu said: “As the nation completes another glorious year of its independence, Nigerians have every cause to celebrate the remarkable achievements recorded in our journey to nationhood.”

“Even though our journey to nationhood was tough and thorny, but with the determination of our leaders Nigeria has attained a significant milestone as the biggest economy and largest democracy in Africa.

“Independence Day is celebrated with utmost fervour, zest and a spirit of patriotism to mark the innumerable sacrifices of our leaders both past and present as well as honour the fact that we are living in a free Nigeria,” he said.

The commissioner assured the people of the state that Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf is working assiduously to fix the state’s problems.

According to him, people oriented programmes have been initiated and that numerous projects have came on board targeted at addressing the multiple challenges facing the state.

He said the Ministry of Housing Development is poised to pursue housing programmes vigorously to enable the citizens have equal access to safe, affordable and dignified home, irrespective of gender or status.

The commissioner commended the citizens for their unalloyed loyalty and contribution to the development of our nation’s democratic institutions.

He said the years ahead would be prosperous as Kano people and indeed Nigerians “would count blessings and opportunities under Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration.”
