NNPCL disassociates itself from fake recruitment claims

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) has warned Nigerians against falling for fake recruitment claims, stressing that it is not recruiting at the moment.

The company made the announcement in a statement shared on its official X handle on Monday, September 25, 2023.

This is not the first time NNPCL has issued such a warning.

In August 2017, the company cautioned the public to disregard posts on social media that it was recruiting. In October and December 2021, the oil firm again asked Nigerians to shun fraudulent recruitment claims.

In its latest statement, NNPCL stressed that it would only notify the public through its official platforms whenever there is a recruitment exercise.

“Whenever recruitment is conducted, it will be announced on our website and official social media handles,” the statement said.
