Northern Stars Shine Bright at 2nd Annual “Arewa 30 Under 30 Award”

On December 22nd, 2023, a remarkable event unfolded in Kano State as PRNigeria, Daily Nigerian, and Arewa Agenda joined hands for the 2nd annual “Arewa 30 Under 30 Award and Conference.”
At the prestigious Tahir Guest Palace, outstanding Northern youth took center stage, basking in the limelight for their remarkable achievements across various domains – from innovation, arts, and technology to sports, entertainment, activism, humanitarianism, and impactful social media presence.
Yushau A. Shuaib, the Chief Host and Managing Director of IMPR, set the tone with a welcome address, highlighting the event’s essence: to celebrate the brilliance and productivity of young professionals and individuals, acknowledging their positive influences both nationally and internationally.
“Often, Arewa’s achievements by young minds go unnoticed. This platform aims to recognize and elevate these exceptional contributions, shedding light on the excellence emanating from this region” remarked Mr. Shuaib.
He further emphasized the need for increased support from Northern elites in uplifting the media industry and nurturing such initiatives.
Mallam Sule Yau Sule, the Chairman of the occasion, emphasized the event’s timeliness, underscoring the presence of numerous unsung heroes shaping various facets of Northern Nigeria’s diverse fields.
Mohammed Dahiru Lawal, PRNigeria’s Head of Investigation and the organizing committee’s chairman, reiterated the ceremony’s core purpose.
“The event not merely to celebrate greatness but serve as a nexus for potential mentors and mentees from Arewa, fostering a path for more young talents to ascend to greater heights” stated Lawal.
Amidst the celebration, distinguished figures such as Mr. Sanusi Bature, Director General of Media and Publicity to Kano State Governor, CP Usaini Muhammad Gumel, and the producer of Manyan Mata were honored with special awards at the memorable event.
Huzaifa Jamil Kofarmata, one of the young awardees and recipient of the Social Activist of the Year award while speaking to PRIME TIME NEWS about the honor bestowed upon him among a pool of remarkable nominees. expressed profound gratitude to the organizers for recognizing his efforts.
