NSCDC Arrests Six Suspected Criminals in Kano

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kano State Command has announced the arrest of six suspected criminals in various parts of the state.

In a press release signed by SC Ibrahim Idris Abdullahi, CDPRO of the Kano Command on Tuesday, the NSCDC reported the apprehension of AbdulRahim Umar, a 19-year-old tricycle thief.

“Umar was captured by personnel from the Court Road outpost, Tarauni divisional office, shortly after stealing a tricycle on Zoo Road, Kano. He was attempting to flee to a hideout when he was apprehended”.

In a related incident, the NSCDC Nassarawa division arrested 17-year-old Tasi’u Salisu, a suspected motorcycle thief, and 19-year-old Mubarak Idris, who is accused of vandalizing and stealing electricity armored cables. The arrests took place in Gama B, Brigade, Nassarawa Local Government Area.

Additionally, a three-member syndicate was arrested for terrorizing residents of Sheka Yar Kasuwa with phone snatching and house burglaries. The suspects, Abba Umar (25), Suleiman Abdulhameed (17), and Ibrahim Ibrahim (17), were apprehended by operatives from the Sheka outpost in collaboration with local vigilantes in Kumbotso Local Government Area.

The NSCDC stated that investigations into these cases are at an advanced stage, and the suspects will be charged to court upon completion.
