NSCDC Commandant Idris Tours Nafada, Funakaye, Kwami LGAs

The Gombe State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Jibrin Idris, has embarked on an operational tour of divisional offices across the state, beginning with Nafada, Funakaye, and Kwami Local Government Areas.

During the visit, Idris was received by the Chairmen of the LGAs Hon. Babangida Adamu Jigawa (Nafada), Hon. Shuibu Abdulrahman Adamu (Funakaye), and Hon. Dr. Ahmed Wali Doho (Kwami).

Also present were the Area Commander Gombe North, Assistant Commandant of Corps (ACC) Moses Vue, Divisional Officers, and representatives of sister security agencies.

The Chairmen commended the Corps for its synergy with other security outfits in ensuring peace and safety in their communities.

They also acknowledged the NSCDC’s role in curbing criminal activities, which they said had contributed to a noticeable decline in crime rates.

In his remarks, Commandant Idris applauded the efforts of the Chairmen and urged continued collaboration with the Corps, especially in the protection of Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI).

He emphasized the importance of actionable intelligence from community leaders to help the Corps prevent vandalism and sabotage of facilities vital to the nation’s economy.

As part of the tour, Idris paid courtesy visits to the Emir of Nafada, HRH Muhammadu Dadum Hamza, and the Emir of Funakaye, HRH Muhammed Yakubu Kwairanga, where he received royal blessings.

Addressing officers and men of the Divisions, Idris lauded their commitment to duty and charged them to maintain professionalism and dedication in the discharge of their responsibilities.
