NSNCM Offers Condolences, Urges Continued Action After Military Killings

From Abdullahi Alhassan, Kaduna

The Nineteen Seventeen Northern Consensus Movement for Peace, Unity, Empowerment, and Development Initiatives (NSNCM) expresses its deepest condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Ministers of Defence, all service chiefs and Nigerians at large following the recent tragic events in Delta State.

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our brave soldiers who died in the line of duty,” said Awwal Aliyu Abdullahi, National President of NSNCM, in a signed press statement.

“Their sacrifices in the fight against criminal activities will never be forgotten. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Armed Forces for their tireless efforts in combating these threats. Their dedication and bravery are truly commendable.”

The NSNCM urges the Armed Forces to remain undeterred in their mission to protect the nation. “We call on the Delta State Government and communities to fully cooperate with the Armed Forces in identifying and bringing the perpetrators of these crimes to justice,” Abdullahi continued.

“We also appeal to all Nigerians to support our Armed Forces by providing valuable information and intelligence to aid in their operations. Together, we can ensure the safety and security of our country.”

The statement further expresses concern about the silence of human rights organizations. “It is disheartening that these human rights organizations have remained silent in the face of this senseless murder,” Abdullahi said.

“We challenge them to speak out against this heinous act and stand up for the defenders of human lives and properties who lost their lives protecting the defenceless.”

The NSNCM reaffirms its commitment to supporting the Armed Forces. “We stand united in grief and solidarity with them,” Abdullahi declared.

“We encourage General Christopher Gwabin Musa and his colleagues, the service chiefs, to continue ensuring the unity, safety, and security of our citizens as they carry out the instructions of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. We urge the President to continue his unwavering support for the Armed Forces of Nigeria.”
